目前持有学生签证在英国学习的学生，在更新学生签证的时候，有可能被要求参加Credibility Check Interview（信用核查面试），用以确认学生在英国学习的可信程度。面试的内容将包括学生的出勤情况、学习进度（是否存在太多重修课程）、前期签证情况或记录中的违规行为。核查的标准是确保在英就读的学生都是以学习为唯一目的，并且值得信赖的学生。
UKVI将从以下几个主要方面进行审查:
1) Intention and ability to complete their chosen course/course they are progressing to 学生是否具备明确的意向和能力去完成他们所选择的课程
·A strong academic background. 良好的学术背景
·Not have any elongated gaps in study that cannot be explained to UK Home Office. 不存在无法解释清楚的学习空白时间段
·Knowledge of chosen course and institution and awareness of alternatives. 了解自己就读的课程和学校，并且清楚知道自己的其他选择可能性
·Applied for a level of course that is academic progression from previous studies. 已经申请好高一级的课程，用以衔接目前就读的课程
·Chosen the particular course or institution themselves, not from undue influence from family, friends and agents. 明确自己主观学习目的 ,课程或学校是自己选择的，而不是由家人、朋友或中介选择的
·English ability that matches the level of their SELT test. 实际英语能力符合提交的官方英语成绩的水平
2) Intention to leave the UK at the end of the course (s) 是否明确表示会在课程结束后离开英国
·A clear plan for when they finish their course. 对自己的课程结束后的去向有一个清晰的计划
·Ties with their home country, including family and business interests. 与自己的所属国有紧密的联系，比如家庭或工作机会
3) Ability to accommodate and continue to maintain themselves (see sample questions attached to e-mail) 是否具备能力确保在英国期间的生活
·A clear explanation of the source of funds or how they would meet course and maintenance costs for the whole pathways and university course tuition and maintenance fees. 能够清楚解释在英期间所需费用的来源，或者清楚解释如何确保有足够的费用支付整个预科和大学课程的学费和生活费用
·Level of income should meet the cost of the proposed course. 收入水平需要确保能够维持就读课程的花费
·Funds that can be accessed in the UK. 经济来源可以在英国使用
