The MA in Politics and the Mass Media provides an advanced understanding of the relationship between the mass media and politics in contemporary society.
Programme outline: Politics and the Mass Media MAStudents take three core modules which focus on theoretical perspectives and debates regarding the relationship between the mass media, politics and society, the role and function of the media in a democracy, the impact of mass media on global political processes and research methods employed in political communication research.
Throughout, close attention is paid to the implications of contemporary developments in communication technology for our understanding of politics and the mass media.
